We’re excited to share that we are moving from v1.0 to v1.5 of meetingRoom.

Since 2017, we have been building a platform built for equal participation. It’s been a wild ride building virtual meeting rooms that can provide a competitive edge. Today we wanted to share some updates coming in June.

• Equipment updates – we now have 360 images, 3d models and an improved user experience
• Equal functionality on every platform. No sacrifices or compromise from iPad to desktop to Oculus Quest
• We have migrated to Amazon Web Services

Digital Concierge On-boarding

We aim to provide an amazing first-time experience. We’re excited to share our new concierge service.

It’s a 2-step process!

1. Check-in: This takes approx 5 min
2. Room Tour: We schedule a time to get your room tour organised on the device of your choice to help you get started!

Notes Wall

We’ve been working to make these more useful. We want to ensure you can get all of your ideas on the wall! Typing on notes in VR has taken a major upgrade, as well as improving collaborative typing on every note.

360 Room

We have added a new room type with some awesome virtual equipment. From visiting the site visit to sharing a view of your home office. Pull any 360 image into your spaces to get a better look at what is happening on the ground. Run design sprints like never before. Run site inspections, from anywhere.

3D Model Room

We now allow you to bring in 3d models, to add some depth to your agenda. From product overviews to on-site problem solving. We love what users have been using this function for. We look forward to hearing how you bring this into your meeting process

Agenda Wall

We made you print out one document for a long time. This was one of the highest rated requests from the last few months to the platform. We made you wait long enough – you can now upload multiple files into your project room.

Quality of Life

Whiteboard Wall

The whiteboard wall has been simplified and some bugs have been squashed. Your templates are now a little simpler to pick as well.

Stability

Improved stability across platforms. From desktop to tablet to mobile and wireless 6DoF/Quest usage, we have you covered.

Web Application

Simplified web application. We have been adding some small changes to improve your setup and administration experience.

Device Updates

Run meetings from ANY device. We have some new devices and the new build is ready for use in June.

Saying goodbye to 3DoF. We have retired access to the Oculus Go and other 3Dof supported heads. 6DoF is the best virtual reality headset entry point for meetingRoom.

Closing Version 1.0 – June 9th deadline

Version 1.0 has been in operation since the middle of 2019. Sign-ups are closed and we will be closing it down on June 9th as we migrate teams over to the new version 1.5 – so please make sure to check-in right away.
